About Numurkah Senior Citizens

Our Program
The membership of the Club exceeds 440 and the Club conducts approximately 100 activities each month including trips and outings. The program calendar for each month is published in the free monthly newsletter the ‘Golden Age Gazette’ and is displayed on the noticeboard in the clubrooms. The newsletter can be collected from the Seniors Hub, emailed, posted or delivered to each member’s home using a network of member volunteers. The Club’s program provides members with activities, games, events, entertainment, trips and outings to enjoy and the opportunity for fellowship and making new friends. The membership fee is $5.00 per annum.

Our Management
A Committee of Management operates the Club and is comprised of 13 current members of the Club who are elected at the Annual General Meeting each July. General meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month in the clubrooms situated on the corner of Knox and McCaskill Streets. The meeting includes lunch and afternoon tea. The Committee of Management meets monthly to attend to the planning and decision making of the Club. Teams comprising committee members and helpers from the general membership attend to the various facets of the Club’s administration while the participants in each activity self-manage their individual groups.
